Is Calq free?

Calq Build, the whole modeller, is free: open calq.live and draw, with no account. Saving makes a free account with cloud save (its limits are on calq.live/pricing), that imports IFC, DWG and DXF and exports IFC, DXF, COBie, gbXML, BCF, IDS, PDF sheet sets and video. Its first Calq AI building is free too, once, with no card. Calq AI every month is on the paid plans, Professional and Studio (prices on calq.live/pricing). Both start with a 14-day trial; nothing is charged until it ends.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Calq runs in a current browser with WebGL 2, on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Phones and tablets work too, one view at a time.

Can I get IFC out of Calq?

Yes, on every plan, Free included: IFC4 Reference View by default, IFC 4.3 on request, and IFC2X3 Coordination View 2.0. The writer is checked against the official EXPRESS schema before every release. COBie 2.4, gbXML 0.37, BCF, IDS and DXF plans are on the same export menu. A free account imports IFC as well.

Does Calq work with Revit?

Today through IFC and DXF, exported on every plan, Free included. A Revit add-in with two-way sync (elements, views and parameters) is in development and will come with Professional and Studio; its download is not open yet.

What is Calq AI?

The AI inside Calq. You ask in words, or attach a brief, a sketch, a plan or a spreadsheet, and it sets the project up, draws massing options for you to choose from, then builds and edits the BIM model with you through the same tools a person uses, every change undoable. A free account's first building is free (once, with no card); Professional and Studio carry it every month, and their 14-day trial comes with AI credits of its own (calq.live/pricing says how many).

Can several people work on one model?

Yes. On Professional you invite people to each of your models; on Studio every member opens every member's models (how many people each plan holds is on calq.live/pricing). You edit together live, see each other's cursors and selections, and comment and @mention each other on the model. The people you invite never pay to join, even on Free.

Question 7

Is Calq in French?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The interface speaks English and French, and each model has a project language for what it prints and exports: sheets, title blocks, schedules and reports. A model in French writes its scales as 1/100.
